Carolina Sheet Metal Seamless Guttering is a family owned and operated business. The owner, Ray Hohmann, Jr., has been in the guttering business since 1975. His father started the gutter business in 1949 and began Carolina Sheet Metal in 1979. He taught Ray Jr. the trade using the apprentice method of teaching. Ray Jr. bought Carolina Sheet Metal from his father in 1993. Ray specializes in copper work,
chimney caps, metal roofing, K-style gutters, and half-round gutters.
Continuing the family business, Ray Jr. has taught the trade to his sons. They have grown up in business working by their father's side since they were ten years old. As a third generation company, Ray and his sons each run a crew of installers. The office work is done by Ray Jr.'s wife, and Ray Jr. himself follows up on all the calls that come in.
